I'm Back

First of all I am so happy to introduce our 2 new little ones, Luke Harry and Mae Elsie, born June 22. Lot's more updates to follow!


I had a little surprise 3 weeks ago when I went in for a regular Drs. appointment at 34 weeks only to find out I was in labor (didn't know it) and dilating quickly. I was sent by ambulance to Roanoke and had our babies 24 hours later. Needless to say I had lots I still wanted to do in the last few weeks before I thought their arrival would happen. Things around the house my friends and parents took care of for me but they couldn't blog for me. Hopefully I'll get caught up soon.

So, 1 thing I wanted to share was some maternity pictures my friend, Mary, took for me as a gift. They turned out exactly as I was hoping and have been put into a project I had on my list for the babies room. I'll post about that soon enough.

5 Years and Counting

Who would have ever thought that these 2 little kids would grow up and marry each other??Here's us over the past 5 years. It's been a blast and can't wait for the next 5!

While He's Gone

So Kurt is gone for the month doing a rotation. I'll be honest, I was really nervous about him leaving. What was I going to do in the evenings? Who was I going to talk to? Who was going to help with Mac? What if I get scared in the night? Silly, I know, but I still felt that way. I have never been left home alone in our almost 5 years of marriage. I'm always the one that leaves to visit family or whatever. Well, I'm happy to say, that even though I miss him a lot (it's only been 3 days) I am doing way better than I expected. I have prayed about this time and I really feel that God is taking care of me and my needs.

Kurt and I have been skyping at night and it is sooooo fun! We laugh a lot! It's a nice way to end the day. I'm really looking forward to the end of the month when he'll be home! Mac misses him too.

Royal Wedding

Wake up time was 4:45 to catch the Royal Wedding. It was pretty fun. We had coffee and croissants. Friends came over and even Mac climbed up on the couch with us to watch.

So now, I'm exhausted and I get to do an all nighter at church tonight with my 5th and 6th grade girls. Needless to say, I have laid around on the couch all day at work today.

Being tired these days makes for a crabby/teary Me. Look out Kurt!

I was just looking through my pictures and was realizing how blessed we have been with such awesome friends here in Blacksburg! I will REALLY miss living here.
