One memory we will have forever is having cookouts in the middle of the parking lot while living at The Mill. The spring weather is here so in honor of the First day of Spring and for the love my husband has of hotdogs, we celebrated with a cookout. Looking forward to many more!
We spent last weekend in Williamsburg, VA with our friends, thanks to their parents that let us use their time share. It was a great getaway. Highlights included... -walking around Colonial Wiliamsburg. It made me think of a simpilar time in life...no cars...big stores...internet...etc. Just your town with cute houses, white picket fences, fun gardens, the 1 local store to shop at, homemade things, etc. Don't get me wrong though, I know the settlers had to work very hard for their living and went through many hardships!! -eating some GREAT sandwhiches at The Cheese Shop. You should go there if you ever visit Williamsburg -Dunkin Donuts run with Kurt Sunday morning -Good quality time with our friends. This was our 2nd vacation with them. We're already planning the next!
My 2nd quilt is complete! I have been finished with this for a little over a week know, but there was one little thing I needed to fix. I also didn't want to post pictures of it until I gave it away so that I wouldn't ruin the surprise. My best friend here in Blacksburg's little girl is the recipient of this baby quilt.I hope it will keep her warm for years to come!
It was fun making it and is all from left over material from another quilt I made for my nieces. So, there you have it folks. I guess I can say I am a quilter...kindof. I know what to do anyways. Don't look to closely though, it has a very "homemade" look to it. Next project...my nephew River's quilt. I have started cutting the material. The goal is to have it done by April when we will see my brother and his family in Florida!
